Carved seated madonna with child framed panel - antique of unknown age

Antique of unknown age, three oak panels carved with seated Madonna and child in a frame. The three panels are originally paneling or a cabinet door as the reverse side is painted. Frame is not of the same age as the panel.

Note on the back claims this is a Madonna, Italian 15th century. We question that. The carving is not as skilled or sophisticated as you would expect from a piece of that age. We suspect the vintage is more 19th or 20th century and that it was made for the tourist trade. But we ain't art experts. Buy what you see.

SIZE panel is 15"x21", overall 20"x26"

CONDITION Needs restoration. The panels are separating. We will stabilize it for shipping. There is a cut in the frame that is solid. We think it was added to make it look older.
