Vintage 70s safari animals cotton linen fabric – jungle print, Scandinavian style
3 pieces of 61" wide 1970s children's fabric in a fabulous jungle safari print. Happy elephants, hippos, lions, crocs, giraffes, and ducks smile amidst the trees and flowers on this loosely woven cotton linen fabric. Design has a Scandinavian feel.
All 3 pieces are a full 61" selvedge-to-selvedge width. They were hemmed at top and bottom to various lengths. The pieces are not perfect; there is some staining that actually blends quite well into the pattern, and there is some uneven fading; but there is lots of awesome useable fabric to create bedding, window treatments, wall hangings, lampshades - you name it!
We're pretty sure the pieces were hemmed to be window treatments, but we can't figure out what kind. All 3 panels have loops sewn into the top hem every 5" or so, but then two of them were turned another 8" - 10" along the top and hand-tacked - creating a pocket for a rod? If you can figure out how they were used please let us know, because we cannot crack this code!
Fabric has been washed and dried at low temps but has not been ironed.

- c) 61" wide x 75" with 10" top hem and raw bottom edge
