This quilted wall hanging started out life as a charming vintage Irish Ulster linen tea towel with scenes of London. It was bordered with coordinating fabrics, and backed with a fab card suits fabric, then machine-quilted.
Scenes include:
- the zoo at Regent's Park
- Lambeth Pearly
- Covent Garden fruit vendor
- Billingsgate
- Piccadilly Circus flower seller
- St James's Palace
- Tower of London guards
- Horse Guards.
The towel appears to have been unused as a tea towel before it was repurposed. Hanging rings hand-stitched onto upper back corners.

CONDITION Good. Colors are bright. A bit of loose stitching in upper left corner.
