Vintage dove trinket dish - Gerold & Co Tettau - Bavaria - Germany - vintage ashtray

Vintage dove trinket dish or ashtray. Marked Gerold & Co Tettau - Bavaria - Germany. Mark was used from 1937 - 1960, primarily for items to be imported into countries behind the Iron Curtain.

White china dove with it's wings spread over a scalloped dish. Stamped 4098 on the back under the tail. White china with metallic gold trim.

SIZE 6.75" from wing tip to wing tip. Oval base is 5.5" wide by 4" across.

CONDITION Very good. Wear to the metallic gold accents, particularly on the front and on the tip of the dove bird's beak. No nicks, chips or crazing.
