Trader Vic Bartender's Guide -1948 hardcover with dust jacket

The classic Bartender's Guide...by Trader Vic, illustrated by Ray Sullivan. This 1948 reprint edition is a hardcover, with original dust jacket. The 350 pages of classic drink recipes are prefaced with informative chapters like Perils of Bartending, People That Bartenders Have Learned Not to Like, Bartenders That Customers Don't Like, Liquor - What Is it?, and more.

Fair condition. Should be considered a well-used reading copy. Book has been read, and a few liquor-stained pages indicate what must have been favorite recipes. There are pencil marks next to recipes that were tried. Binding is cracked, though pages seem secure. Dust jacket is covered in plastic. The signs of wear go to show what a valuable resource this has been. A 1973 inscription was written to mark the handing down of the book to the next generation.
