Pink Anchor Hocking Old Cafe bowls - set of 6 - 1930s vintage
Set of six pink depression glass bowls in the Old Cafe pattern by Anchor Hocking. Produced from 1936-1940. Large gently sloped open bowls have a small pedestal and molded handles.
Technically, these are mint dishes. And indeed, they would be lovely for serving bonbons and other tasty treats. But we would use them as dessert dishes. Imagine a slice of warm blueberry pie a la mode with a vanilla ice cream. As the ice cream melts, the cream flows back towards the center so there is cream, crust and blueberries in each bite.
SIZE 8.75" diameter including handles.
CONDITION Very good. Gently used.
