Matte green jardiniere - redware pottery planter - likely Weller - 1900s
We believe this to be a Weller Bedford Matte Green Jardiniere dating between 1905-1913. Molded with evergreen tree in art deco style, the design comes through the beautiful bedford matte green finish. A heavy planter made from red clay. Unmarked. Three ceramic stand marks on underside and a small unglazed area on one foot. Does not look to be a chip but original to piece.
SIZE 6.5" tall x 8" wide. 6" dia opening
CONDITION Very good. Small area on one foot unglazed or chipped. Hint of lime marks and use on inside. Please look closely at all pictures.
