Vintage Dresden-Style Lady Figurine - Mid-Century Ceramic - Spaghetti Lace and Roses - Romantic Cottage Decor
Couldn't load pickup availability
Romantic mid-century ceramic figurine of a seated woman in 18th-century-inspired dress, rendered with rather nice decorative detail. Her pink gown is trimmed in applied gold spaghetti lace, a painstaking technique associated with Dresden and Capodimonte traditions, and she carries a basket while roses and ribbons adorn her upswept hair. Applied roses appear at her neckline, in her hair and on the chair behind her. Hand-painted throughout in soft peach, pink, blue and yellow with gilt accents.
Unmarked, but the quality of the applied lacework and hand-painting is consistent with mid-century European or American Dresden-style production, circa 1940s–1960s.
