Vintage Connecticut Turnpike souvenir plate, likely from the late 1950s or early 1960s when interstate highways were first being built. Decal image on a cream white plate has the Savarin Restaurants rest area and Turnpike Toll Station in the center. Images around the border include:
- State Capitol, Hartford
- Kent Falls
- Coast Guard Academy - New London
- Acadian House - Guilford
- Governor's Chair - made of wood from the Charter Oak
- Yale University Library
SIZE 9" diameter
CONDITION This is a souvenir quality plate, the border decal is a little off center in places. There is a 1" long scratch over the "K" in "Turnpike." There are some bubbles in the finish and a few marks from plate hangers on the outside edge.
