Vintage 1980s Incite Party Dress "Business in Front, Party in the Back" Maxi Size M-L

Meet your next swan-about dress. Vintage 1980s maxi by Incite is one of those rare finds that reveals its magic the moment someone turns around. The front is sleek and understated — a classic, long black dress with a V-neckline, short sleeves, and princess seams for a flattering, draped silhouette. Then comes the back: a dramatic burnout velvet and gold scarf inset that flows from the neckline all the way down, trailing behind you like you own every room you walk into.

What else? Short cap sleeves. Small shoulder pads. Back zipper closure. Full though the hips, tapered at the hem. Draped not body-con.

It's elegant. It's a little theatrical. It's absolutely wonderful.

Honestly? It doesn't photograph its best on a hanger. But back in the day, I would have killed for this dress. Some pieces just need a body and a reason to go somewhere fabulous. This is one of them.
