1950s Boston Playbills Plymouth & Shubert Theatres Bad Seed, Wonderful Town, Rosalind Russell, Julie Harris

Vintage collection of 1950s programs, broadsides, and On Stage magazine from the Boston Shubert Theatre and Plymouth Theatre. Included are 

• "The Lark" - Broadside for the 1955 pre-Broadway run at the Plymouth Theatre, starring Julie Harris, Boris Karloff and Christopher Plummer.  6" x 9 3/8"
• "Bad Seed" - Broadside from the Dec 1954 pre-broadway run at the Plymouth, starring Nancy Kelly 6" x 9.5" 
• "The Moon Is Blue" - Souvenir program from the 1954 tour at the Plymouth, starring Jacqueline Holt, Edward Andrews, and Michael Lipton.  A handwritten note in the front cover says "April 9, 1954 with Joan Moffitt.  8" x 10.25"
• "Ankles Aweigh"  - On Stage magazine from the 1955 pre-Broadway run at the Shubert Theatre, starring Betty Kean and Jane Kean. 6" x 9"
• "Pipe Dream" - On Stage magazine and (3) four-page broadsides from the November 1955 pre-Broadway run at the Shubert, starring Helen Traubel. and William Johnson.  Magazine is 6" x 9"; broadsides are 6" x 9.5"
• Wonderful Town" - Souvenir program and (2) broadsides from the 1953 pre-Broadway run at the Shubert, starring Rosalind Russell. Program is 9" x 12"; broadsided are 4.5" x 8.5"
• Plymouth Theatre ticket envelope - advertises the Hotel Edison in NYC. 4.25" x 2.5"

CONDITION Good condition. Some items were taped into a scrapbook and bear tape marks and edge tears to prove it. Programs have some bends along the spines, and some bent corners. Ticket envelope has been folded, and has a small tear on the flap.

This is a pre-owned item. It has been used and loved and it has a history. Please examine photos carefully and ask questions. We want you to love your theatre souvenirs.
