Artichoke plates - set of 6 - Czechoslovakia ceramic
Creamy white artichoke plates were made in Czechoslovakia (which became the Czech Republic in 1993) in majolica style. Embossed with scrolls, leaves and a flower in the center, there are sections for the artichoke, sauce, and discarded leaves. Would also be a great way to serve oysters. Marked with mold number 7843.
SIZE 9"
CONDITION Plates are in very good condition. One has a hairline crack in the center that we THINK is from the molding process as it can't be felt so we think it's under the glaze and an area of no glaze on the back. Two have small chips in the rim of the foot (on back). One has an specks under the glaze, particularly in the sauce area. One has a small chip on the rim. None of the flaws affects use.
