Vintage Goebel Hummel Figurine Little Thrifty Coin Bank #118 W.Germany w/ Key

Vintage Goebel Hummel "Little Thrifty" coin bank (mold #118) is marked with the TMK-3 stylized bee and "Western Germany" mark, which dates it from 1960-1972. Adorable child in an orange polka-dot apron is reaching to put her silver coin into a chimney-shaped bank. Put yours in there, and it will be safe until you use the included original key to unlock the metal stopper on the bottom. 

The "Little Thrifty" coin bank (known in German as Sparbiene) was originally modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1939. This specific mid-century TMK-3 version shows the classic post-war Goebel craftsmanship. Hummel coin banks are appreciated by collectors, especially when found complete, with the original metal stopper and key. It makes an awesome addition a Goebel enthusiast's collection.

CONDITION  Good vintage condition. No paint loss, chips, or cracks. Cosmetic crazing is present throughout, most noticeable on the base, typical of pieces of this age and does not affect stability. Original key is included.
