Original 1956 public health campaign poster carries the important message: “Be fair, COVER your coughs and sneezes.” Distributed by the National Tuberculosis Association, it was part of a nationwide effort to promote better hygiene and prevent the spread of illness.

Printed on the poster is the note: “This poster is distributed by your tuberculosis association in the interest of better health for all children.
