Pair of romantic framed porcelain medallions from Sungott Art Studios. This 1950s vintage pair has an antiqued beige frame, deep sonoma red velvet and a center piece of china with a decal image of a pastoral romantic scene with painted details.
Sungott Art Studios was a New York based importer and manufacturer of decor for the everyman. The romantic pastoral theme was extremely popular, turning up as plates, china, figurines, prints and just about every other surface that could take a decal. It's as enchanting a fairy tale style now as it was then.
