Antique treasures framed cross stitch - 1970s framed needlework
The glass hen, washbowl, spinning wheel, cradle, ship in a bottle and hand stitched rug-- classic antiques captured in a vintage 1970s framed cross stitch. Pre Bicentennial Americana inspired stitchery. Stitched on antique white linen, it appears to be freehand embroidery and not a printed cross stitch.
Professionally framed in a chippy gold, green and brown frame that has been heavily antiqued.
NOTE: line across the photo of the whole stitchery is a lighting issue and not a flaw.
COLORS: mustard gold, chestnut brown, russet red, meadow green, coral and dark rose on a winter white background.
SIZE: 10 7/8" x 13 3/4"
CONDITION: Very good, there is some light discoloration from aging around the borders of the piece. Frame is moderately chippy on some of the edges.
