Sleigh bells on a metal strip - 3 graduated bells - 1940s vintage
Three vintage graduated bells on a metal strip, the kind that would have been attached to a sleigh or the door of a store to let the shopkeeper know a customer had arrived. Bells vary in width and height, each has three clappers. The sound produced hits many notes, so very nice.
Bells have a nice patina, brass inside, plated with maybe chrome on the outside. The iron clappers have a fair bit of rust as does the metal strip. The chrome is quite aged and corroded off, making a natural aged patina that you can't buy in stores.
SIZE Metal strip is 10.75". Largest bell is 2.75" x 2.25", smallest is 2 3/8" x 1.25"
CONDITION Vintage very good. True patina.
