Antique ice pick from the Sanitary Ice Company, H. J. Sorel proprietor. Located at 40 Union Ave. Also available are Fuel oil and Range Oil.
The writing is very hard to make out, but since it came from Worcester, MA and since we have been selling vintage for a long time so we are very good at playing cryptoquote with missing letters on antique pieces we are pretty sure we are correct in what it says.
We would have loved to verify it by finding an ad for the ice company from a newspaper of the time, but traveling to Hartford to look at microfilm seemed a bit excessive for an antique ice pick, no matter how curious we were.
SIZE 7.75" long
CONDITION Antique. The pick itself has some rust. And as you can see, it's well worn, so it must have been a favorite pick.
