Railroad playing cards sets - Chessie and New England - vintage
Two sets of 2 decks of playing cards from railroad lines in original boxes. All decks are complete.
One set is from the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. One deck has a picture of Chessie the cat sleeping under covers and the other deck has a picture of Peake the cat - Chessie's "Old Man." In a hard plastic box with hinged cover. The plastic cover is hazy and scratched, but the hinges are intact. The cards were used and have wear around the edges. The ace of spades in the Chessie deck has a small tear.
The other two decks are from the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad Co. One deck features a lighthouse and sailboats with the caption 'On Picturesque Cape Cod'. The other has a picture of a town street and bus with the caption 'New England Transportation Co.' In a gold colored cardboard box with black slip cover. The slip cover has the railroad logo in gilt. Box has some wear but is in good condition. These cards were also used and have wear around the edges. The 3 of hearts in the Cape Cod deck has a corner fold.
Great vintage decks for the transportation aficionado.
