Powell & Bishop three platter set - 1867 - 1878 - antique English ironstone transferware

Trio of antique platters by English pottery Powell & Bishop. Graduated-sized white platters with a floral transfer border, hand painted raw sienna and burgundy details and a gold band. Scalloped corners.

Powell and Bishop was in production from 1867-1878. 

SIZE 12" x 8.75", 14" x10", 16" x 11.75"

CONDITION Very good. All the platters have wear on the outside edges. The smallest one was used the most and has a decent number of utensil marks, most wear to the gold and a pinhole with staining. Other platters have fewer signs of use. Overall, quite lovely for their age.
