Victoria Carlsbad handled ramekins with underplate and cover - set of 4 - early 20th century
As curious as something from the Mad Hatter's tea party, this set of 4 handled ramekins with underplates and covers. Are they for creme brûlée or tiny soufflé? Are they some kind of quirky tea cup or demitasse? Inquiring minds want to know, that's for sure.
Tiny ramekins from Victoria Carlsbad Austria(we're going with ramekin) have a high sided underplate and cover. Base of the ramekin is unglazed as is the rim of the lid. Ramekin has a wide rim, to accommodate the flat lid.
White china with molded scrolling, printed and painted flowers and metallic gold border.
SIZE underplate 4 7/8", ramekin 3 1/4" diameter not including handle, lid 3" diameter
CONDITION Very good. No nicks or chips or crazing. The unglazed portions have some dirt and scuffs that would likely come off with something gentle like diluted Softscrub or a surgically applied Magic Eraser.
