Villeroy & Boch Wallerfangen covered bowl - #2651B - 1930s vintage
Vintage 1930s covered serving bowl by Villeroy & Boch. Marked "Wallerfangen" and Made in Saar-Basin. Large stenciled anemone flowers on white china with green banding. Substantial pottery serving bowl, round with handles. And a handy cover to keep those mashed potatoes warm until everyone is at the table.
The cover and the bowl may not be a true match, the fit is a little sloppy, but they look great together and Villeroy & Boch from this era is difficult to fine. If it is a marriage, it's a marriage of both convenience and style.

CONDITION Very good. Some scuffs on the outside rim.
