Snocraft Norway Maine bear paw snowshoes - vintage snowshoes
A pair of vintage wood and leather or synthetic Snocraft Norway Maine bear paw snowshoes with leather bindings. Whether these are woven from leather or a synthetic has been the subject of lively discussion here at NextStage headquarters. There is some fiber fraying on the edges so we're pretty sure they're synthetic. And the company dissolved in 1980 so we can't call them to ask.
Great for decor, or for use with minor repairs, some maintenance and new bindings.

CONDITION good - 1 small crack in the wood toward the front around a lacing that would need repair. The leather winding at the top of one is loose and is missing the tack to hold the leather in place. The leather/synthetic is still supple, although could use treatment. Small amount of mildew spotting on the findings that would come off with a proper cleaning by someone who knows how to do such a thing. No mildew smell.
