Vintage 1970s Red, White & Blue Striped Shirtwaist Day Dress - Size XS
Couldn't load pickup availability
Classic shirtwaist with a twirl-worthy skirt, striped in red, white, and navy on a soft grey ground. Wear it to the office, wear it to the flea market, wear it any day, anywhere.
Vertical stripes run down the front and back bodice panels. Dolman sleeves flip to horizontal stripes with a banded cuff. A shawl collar softens the neckline, and the skirt is full enough for that swishy, shirtwaist movement when you walk.
The front closes with buttons, plus a hook-and-eye at the waist and a couple snaps below that to close the front opening. The original belt has wandered off over the decades, but the thread belt loops are intact.

Vintage clothing sizes don't align with modern sizes. For accurate fit, compare measurements to a similar garment that fits you well. Make allowance for clothes underneath and to allow garment to drape properly.
Suggested best fit is a 0-2 or XS.
Measurements (taken flat on outside)
Pit to pit: Due to the dolman sleeve construction, there's no traditional underarm seam to measure pit-to-pit. The sleeve and bodice are sewn as one continuous piece. Please refer to the waist measurement and shoulder-to-waist length for fit guidance
