Vintage Victorian-Style Embossed Tin Keepsake Box - Gold Interior, Hinged Lid with Clasp - Old World Style

Decorative metal box is a well-made example of the Victorian Revival gift tins that were popular in the 1970s, styled after the ornate jewelry caskets and presentation boxes of the late 19th century.
The exterior is lithographed in warm cream, copper, terracotta and teal, with a raised central cartouche of scrollwork and jewel-like dot accents on the lid, diagonal sash motifs across the pyramid-form top, and additional scrollwork panels on the sides framing the working clasp. The old world bombe style sides are a nice detail.
The interior is bright gold tone. Tucked underneath are four raised dome feet. It feels more like a small chest than a tin. The clasp hardware would accommodate a small pin or padlock if you wanted to keep it closed.
