1946-1949 Ted Williams Louisville Slugger 125 Store Model Bat 35" Cracked

$60.00
True vintage Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger 125 store model baseball bat, endorsing Hall of Famer Ted Williams, from original owner.

Based on the specific brand oval ("MADE IN U.S.A." inside the center oval and the absence of later trademark symbols), we think this bat dates to the 1944–1949. Ted Williams was serving in WWII until late 1945;  this bat dates from his legendary post-war return to the Boston Red Sox (1946–1949).
DETAILS
  • Length: 35 inches (stamped "35" on the knob).
  • Center Brand: Decently crisp factory stamping. Features the "125" catalog mark, "Hillerich & Bradsby Co.", and "Powerized" script.

CONDITION

  • Wood Condition: Natural aged patina. Shows minor surface scuffs, light dents and one big one, and expected handling wear from when the owner actually played ball with it.
  • Based on the screw, there must have been a handle crack that was repaired long ago, and wrapped with tape. The handle is rigid, stable and solid for display.

This bat is a extra base hit for any Red Sox, Ted Williams or vintage baseball collector. Please review all photos carefully to assess cosmetic condition. Ask any questions! We want you to love this bat.
