Antique Cabinet Card Young Man Racing Bicycle Knickerbockers Studio Portrait

Antique cabinet card studio portrait, circa mid-1890s to early 1900s. A young man in a cap, sack jacket, bow tie, knickerbockers, ribbed stockings and lace-up boots stands beside a diamond-frame bicycle with drop handlebars and pneumatic tires, in front of a painted studio backdrop. The bicycle appears to be a racing or track-style model.

CONDITION Original antique photograph on its original mount. The photo edges have lifted very slightly in a few spots. There is crazing in the photo surface and a few small stains. The mount shows overall toning consistent with age and may have been cut down from original size.
