Antique Victorian Brass Push-Up Candlesticks, Pair - 7" Faceted Knop Column Candle Holders, English Style

Pair of antique Victorian brass push-up candlesticks, each with a faceted diamond-cut knop along the stem and a canted-corner square base. It's a classic 19th-century form. The brass has developed a warm, honeyed patina from age that only comes with real history.

These would look wonderful mixed in with other brass candlesticks for a collected-over-time mantel display, or used as a striking pair on a dining table or sideboard.

Condition:
This is a genuine antique with honest wear. The push-up mechanism is frozen in place and does not currently function (common with age, many collectors display these as-is without using the ejector). There is some verdigris and light rust on the underside of each base. Some old wax residue remains inside the sockets despite our best efforts to remove it.
