Vintage 1950s planter by Cookson Pottery - CP-1318. Cookson was a mid-20th-century American ceramics manufacturer established in 1945 in Roseville, Ohio, and operating until the late 1980s. Marked USA. Rectangular with flared sides and Deco-inspired chevron fluting. Buttery yellow with white drip glaze around the upper edge.
We love these planters for all sorts of displays. Of course you can use it as a planter, or for an arrangement of low flowers. Also useful to hold bits and bobs in the kitchen or office, notions in the sewing room, or fill with oranges or other colorful fruit for a bright summer centerpiece.
