Cranston VIP Mr Bones & Friends Skeleton Walmart Store Display Sample Halloween

You could cut and sew a Mr Bones and Friends doorhanging from the Cranston Print Works VIP fabric panel (if you can find it on the vintage market), or you can get him already made and ready to hang in the form of this fully assembled Walmart sales display sample, sealed in a clear plastic bag. This was meant to be a store or promotional sample and not a retail product. It was acquired from a former Cranston employee who worked at the company's Webster, MA facility.
Mr Bones is fully assembled, with the "friends" appliqués attached, and big white buttons on his joints. A purple bat dangles by a thread from his bony fingers. Through the bag we see an attached 5" square cardboard tag which reads: "Wal Mart Mr Bones Doorhanging – Materials Used for Model: Fabric 60" wide fabric panel V9031-J. Buttons: by LeBouton, 1" white Style #51. Care Instructions: Wipe with damp sponge." The tag also shows the Cranston Consumer Products logo and a Cranston, RI address. The piece appears and feels padded, though batting is not listed as one of the materials used.
A label sewn into a seam of the piece reads: "Reg. No. PA-8468 (RC) OHIO-8468 (RC) MA-8468 (RC) SILCOTT TRADING CO., NEW YORK, NY INC." The reverse reads: "ALL NEW MATERIAL CONSISTING OF POLYESTER FIBERS. MADE IN CHINA."
A sticker on the outside of the bag shows a UPC and reads "Mr. BONES WALLHANGING XMOD-62 – NOT FOR SALE."

We can't measure Mr Bones without opening the bag. However, instructions on uncut panels we've seen indicate the finished project should be about 45" long. He appears to be about 9" wide at his hip bones (which are connected to the thigh bones, and the thigh bones are connected to... you get the idea).
CONDITION The piece has remained sealed in its bag, so we have not inspected it beyond what is visible through the plastic. As far as we can tell, he's minty. The bag has ventilation holes, but no wear.
