Florida souvenir plate featuring tourist attractions - 1940s vintage road trip souvenir
Featuring images of The Singing Tower (now part of Bok Gardens), Miami Beach, State Capitol, Entrance and Driveway, Fishing Boats, and Flamingos, this Florida souvenir plate appears to pre-date any of the theme parks that began sprouting up in the 1950s. Many 1940s and 1950s Florida postcards sported a similar scene marked "Entrance and Driveway to a Beautiful Estate" in Miami, so we are guessing that what is illustrated here. Hand painted accents. Holes in back rim for hanging. Made in Japan. We've seen a lot of Florida souvenir plates in our day, but this one is something special.
SIZE 8" diameter
CONDITION Very good. No nicks or chips. Minor black paint loss on one palm tree trunk and in some of the lettering.
