Georges Briard hand painted trays - a pair - signed - 1950s vintage
Pair of vintage 1950s Georges Briard handpainted trays, signed, with the bonus MW for Max Wille. Trays are black metal squares with raised sides and rounded corners. Designs are painted directly on the trays and are not sealed.
The dining room themed tray has painted cutlery and teacups featuring the kind of designs later printed on his glassware and china.
The living room tray has a fetching candelabra, mantel clock and framed flower.

CONDITION Very good. The dining room themed tray has a scratch on the knife and paint loss on the rim near the bottom right, measuring 1/4" wide x 3/4" long. One small chip around the corner on the right side as well. The living room tray has no noted flaws.
