Gianfranco Missiaja Signed Art Print, Watercolor, Venice Commedia dell'Arte

Gianfranco Missiaja limited-edition art print, “Zanni Capitan Metzerin," a character from the Venetian Carnival and Italian Commedia dell'Arte, who combines the traits of a rustic, acrobatic servant (Zanni) with the flamboyant, instrument-playing bravado of a boastful military captain (Capitan).

Produced at the Schola San Zaccaria in Venice, a traditional printmaking studio. The artist hand-retouched this print with watercolor, pencil signed, dated (2003), and numbered (27/300) it. It's marked "misura naturale dall'originale," which translates as "natural size from the original."

Mounted in a green painted wood frame with a wire hanger on the back ready to display. This was not professionally framed, the print is situated nicely in a premade frame, no matting. The color of the frame matches the artwork exceptionally well.
