Antique Heisey Glass Apothecary Jar with Sterling Overlay - Art Nouveau - Early 1900s
Couldn't load pickup availability
Elegant lidded candy jar with heavy sterling silver overlay decoration. The glass body is needle-etched with fine vertical lines, creating a ribbed texture beneath the silver overlay in graceful Art Nouveau scrollwork. An oval cartouche on the front has an engraved monogram "L." The domed lid echoes the etched-line pattern and is topped with a pointed finial.
The glass itself was made by Heisey. The overlay was applied by a separate company that purchased elegant glass blanks and decorated them with their own designs.
