Vintage two part hard plastic ball with holes in the top to keep your string or yarn from getting unruly. Pop the ball inside, thread it to the outside and you have the best mannered fiber you've ever met. 

Made by the Kilgore Manufacturing Company of Westerville, Ohio. It comes with the original box, which is in pathetic shape but has awesome graphics.
