Vintage Lovell Designs "Cape Porpoise" pewter ornament, signed and dated 1991 by Maine artisan Ken Kantro, in its original box.

This piece depicts dolphins in high-relief pewter, part of Lovell Designs' long-running Cape Porpoise/Ocean Designs collection, named for the coastal village just east of Kennebunkport, Maine. Ken Kantro has designed nature-inspired pewter and sterling jewelry and ornaments in coastal Maine for decades, with work held in museum collections including the Art Institute of Chicago and Winterthur Museum.
