Mid Century Modern Eugenio Pattarino Charger Plate - Italian Art Pottery - Red Abstract Figural Ceramic Wall Plaque - 1950s Decor

$650.00
1950s Florentine modernist charger, made in the Florence workshop of Italian sculptor and ceramist Professor Eugenio Pattarino (1885–1971). Large decorative wall plate captures mid century texture and movement.

The center has a dynamic, abstract expressionist image of dancing human figures silhouetted against a fiery red orange background. The white areas showcase Pattarino's signature mid-century crackle glaze (craquelé), adding character and depth to the thick enamel fields. The wide, dramatic rim is finished in another signature style: thick, heavily mottled volcanic glaze. There is so much texture you want to touch the plate all over.

The back is hand-signed with the model number 3007, country of origin ITALY and the authentic workshop mark E.P.F. (Eugenio Pattarino Firenze).

SIZE 16" wide x 1.5" tall

CONDITION Excellent vintage condition, very carefully kept over the years. We didn't see any flaws on the front. On the back there is some large scale super fine crazing--we photographed it, if you zoom the photos up you can see it. And there is one flick in the back rim that's about 1/4" long.

PACKING We pack everything with extreme care and fully insure to ensure safe arrival.
