Mismatched China Dinnerware Set for 6 - 24 Piece Antique and Vintage - Minton Ancestral Gold, Antique Nippon Roses, Grandmillennial Tea Party

Six place settings, gathered across a century of china-making - Minton, Nippon, Syracuse, and Carl Schumann, brought together by gold and florals. 

Gold and florals are the unifying thread running through every piece, blended for the grandmillennial, romantic, or tea-party table. Beautiful for special occasions, and just as at home in everyday use because everyday is special if you decide it is.

24 pieces total:

• 6 Minton Ancestral Gold dinner plates: white bone china, gold floral sprays, 10⅝" diameter. Made in England, 1944–1976.
• 6 antique Nippon salad plates: hand-painted pink roses, double gold banding, 7.5" diameter. Circa 1890–1920.
• 6 Minton Ancestral Gold bread plates: white bone china, gold floral sprays, 6⅝" diameter. Made in England, 1944–1976.
• 3 Syracuse China "Selma" Old Ivory fruit bowls: light ivory with pink, blue, and purple floral sprays, 5" diameter. 1949–1967.
• 3 Carl Schumann Bavaria square bowls: white with pink, blue, and plum floral sprays, 7.75" square. 1918–1929.

A few things to know:

• The Syracuse "Selma" bowls are a light ivory tone rather than pure white like the rest of the set. It highlights the thin outer band of ivory on the Nippon plates. We think it works beautifully here, which is why we kept them in.
• Gilt gold detailing means none of these pieces are microwave-safe.
• The antique pieces are sturdy, but hand-washing is recommended rather than the dishwasher.

Condition: Excellent overall with no nicks, cracks, or crazing. The Nippon salad plates show some minor gold loss and small glaze bubbles; the Carl Schumann bowls also have minor glaze bubbles and some small decal flaws. Expect light utensil marks consistent with gentle vintage use.
