New Hampshire state souvenir plate - vintage 1950s road trip

Regular price $25.00

Vintage 1950s New Hampshire decorative souvenir plate, likely from the 1950s.

Map of New Hampshire with some towns noted in the middle, surrounded by caricatures depicting New Hampshire landmarks and attractions including:

"On Rte. 3 at Franconia 'Old Man of the Mountains,'"

"(Mt. Climbing) in White Mts.,"

"Sharon Art Center,"

"Summer Theaters (Laconia Area),"

"Dartmouth Winter Carnival,"

"Story-Land (East Slope of White Mts.)"

a half printed description of Benson's Wild animal farm and "Benson Wild Animal Farm."

And a portrait of famous New Hampshirite Daniel Webster. (We thought it might be Franklin Pierce, but Pres. Pierce has a very lustrous mane of hair.)

Sabin China plate is cream with a gold filigree border and printed images.

We love state souvenir plates and have a decent collection of New Hampshire plates ourselves, but this is one of the kitschiest road trip plates we've ever seen. It is fabulous.

SIZE 9.25"

CONDITION Very good. Plate is crazed on both sizes, but no nicks or chips.

This is a vintage item. It has been used and loved and it has a history. Every attempt is made to describe it accurately, please examine photos carefully.
