Primitive antique turned wood dough bowl, possibly maple - 16.75" diameter
Antique turned wood dough bowl, age unknown but probably early 1900s or late 1800s. Turned from a single piece of wood, possibly maple, with a turned foot on the base. Hole in side for hanging loop. Lots of aging, stains and chopping marks; in other words honest patina from honest age. Wormholes, the real kind, not the fake kind, in the base. There is a crack in the side approximately 3" wide that appears to be connected to a line in the naturally occurring wood that can be seen on both sides. For that reason, this bowl is best used for decor.
Bowl is out of circle, not perfectly round with a rim that has high and low spots.
SIZE 16.75" diameter at the rim, 5" tall, foot is 3.5" diameter.
CONDITION Very good. It's a well used true antique bowl. Please see the description above and examine photos carefully.
