Carved and painted gourd by Native American artist Howard Bahe Lewis. Titled "Sweethearts Forever" and dated 2001. Natural gourd is mounted on a wooden base. Dreamcatcher woven in the middle front.
Lewis is a design master for his traditional jewelry and crafts of both the Hopi and Navajo cultures, reflecting his heritage.
Originally purchased from a gallery for $400.
SIZE 10" tall including the base. Gourd is about 8" wide by 7" deep.
CONDITION Very good. There are a few marks on the tan area of the gourd that may be natural.
