Vans Authentics Crown & Crest Pin / Pendant #2439 - 1960s Vintage

$48.00

Dramatic statement piece from Vans Authentics (also seen marked "Van S. Authentics"), a mid-century American costume jewelry house whose pieces were sold through department stores, boutiques and even landed in the Metropolitan Museum's collections. Heraldic inspiration shows with a domed crown on the top, with a laurel-wreathed shield centered with three small crowns, all anchored by crossed swords at the base. Mixed silver and gold tones.

The design leans hard into a royal, coat-of-arms aesthetic, bearing a resemblance to the Swedish "Tre Kronor" coat of arms. Wear it as a brooch, or run a chain through the hook at the top of the back to wear as a pendant; either way, it makes a statement.

Marked on the back: VAN S. AUTHENTICS #2439.

Size: 2½" long x 2½" tall

Condition: Gently used, no flaws noted.
