1969 100th anniversary souvenir glass The American Ceramic Society
Eye-catching commemorative souvenir glass produced for the 71st Annual Meeting and Exposition of The American Ceramic Society, celebrating the organization’s 100th Anniversary, held at the Sheraton-Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. from May 3–8, 1969.
This authentic conference glass was decorated using colored inks formulated with Drakotherm pigments by Hercules, an important detail for ceramics, glass, and industrial materials history collectors.
The clear glass has bold dark gray bands in various widths, silver decorative accents, and white printed graphics. A wide band around the lower portion displays four historic Washington, D.C. monuments, giving the piece regional significance from the conference location.
SIZE 5" tall, 2 3/4" rim diameter
CONDITION Very good vintage condition. Some wear to The American Ceramic Society emblem and the decorative element with two industrial workers. No nicks, chips or cracks.
