Vintage 1930s Bauer Pottery Yellow Ringware Mixing Bowl 30 - Inside Rings

An authentic piece of California art pottery history: an early-production Bauer Pottery Ringware #30 bowl in the iconic "Chinese Yellow" glossy glaze. It features two clear rings molded directly on the inside of the bowl, indicating an early-production piece. Later productions from the late 1930s and 1940s transitioned to smooth interiors to speed up factory manufacturing, making these double-ringed interior pieces special value for collectors looking to complete nesting sets.

Note that bowls of this age contain too much lead in the glaze to be safely used for food preparation, and should be considered display-only pieces. It is safe to use it as a centerpiece to hold completely dry, protected items, such as unpeeled whole fruit (like apples or lemons), unshelled nuts, or wrapped candies. It would also make a lovely planter.

CONDITION Good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. The glossy yellow glaze remains beautifully vibrant, but does show utensil marks inside the bottom of the bowl from use, as well as minor surface scuffs/shelf wear. Bowl passes the "ping test" - when gently tapped, it rings with a clear sound that indicates there are no hidden hairline cracks within the clay.
