Couldn't load pickup availability
Vintage Cutter Laboratories Saftiflask 1 liter glass IV bottle with its original silver foil label with blue lettering. It has a metal wire strap to hang the bottle from an IV pole. The bottle is embossed with markings to show approximate solution amounts used and remaining.
The label reads “Dextrose 5% W/V IN ISOTONIC SOLUTION* OF SODIUM CHLORIDE." Cutter Laboratories was a pharmaceutical company based in Berkeley, California. Based on the style and wording of the label, this appears to date from the mid-to-late 1940s, though there is no date on the bottle. Similar bottles were used from post-WWII until the 1970s, when flexible plastic became the norm. The original rubber stopper is inside the bottle.
Please note: This is a vintage collectible or display item only. It is not sterile and not for medical use.
Fun mid-century medical supply collectible - or a great prop for Halloween decor! Add string lights and hang it from the metal hanger upside down. Flip it over and use it as a vase.
SIZE - 8.25" H x 4" diameter; capacity 1 Liter
CONDITION The rubber stopper is loose inside the bottle and could not be removed. Some residue from the stopper in the neck of the bottle. No chips or cracks. Label has a wrinkle and is missing a small bit of upper left corner, but is otherwise fully readable and secure to bottle.
