Vintage mid-century handmade half apron – floral toweling fabric, pleated, red selvedge trim

$18.00

Charming vintage mid-century half apron, handmade from classic floral toweling fabric once sold by the yard. Home sewists of the era often used this fabric to create matching kitchen linens—tea towels, dish towels, placemats, napkins, and more. This talented maker combined two widths of the floral toweling and added expert pleating to create a unique, beautifully constructed apron.

Design features blue, red, and yellow flowers and berries across the waistband, ties, and apron body. The original red selvedge-edge border appears along the edges and peeks through the centered pleat. This was a well-designed and well-made project that the maker must have been proud of!
