Vintage Portmeirion Queen's Hidden Garden Covered Butter Dish 1983–2001
Vintage Portmeirion butter dish from The Queen's Hidden Garden collection, an English dinnerware collection inspired by David Bellamy's 1984 book documenting the wildflowers of Buckingham Palace's less formal grounds, illustrated by Marjorie Lyon and adapted for ceramics by designer Shahrzad Forouzan.
This piece features the Periwinkle and Columbine motif, blue periwinkle blooms paired with columbine's bean-like seed pods and greenery, on the rectangular base and around the sides of the lid, with the top of the lid left plain white. From the discontinued (1983–2001) Portmeirion line.
