William A Meier mid century tropical monkey rocks glasses - set of 8 - 1950s vintage
Set of 8 William A Meier 1950s mid century rocks glasses decorated with palm trees and a vignette of two monkeys teasing a rooster. 22K gold foil decoration with light green. Wm A Meier mark on the side.
William A Meier was a Pennsylvania maker of mid priced barware in the 1950s and 1960s. We never call anything scarce, but glassware from this company is much harder to find that barware from the more famous makers. These would be a trophy in any serious barware collector cabinet.
SIZE 3 3/8" tall, holds 8 oz comfortably
CONDITION These glasses are free from chips. The gold design on 4 of the glasses is in very good condition. The gold design on the monkeys on 4 of the glasses is in fair condition. (They must have been the four favorites at the front of the cabinet--this is why it's a good idea to rotate use of gold foiled glassware.)
This is a vintage item. It has been used and loved and it has a history. Every attempt is made to describe it accurately, please examine photos carefully. We want you to love your find.
