Vintage mate gourd with metal collar and carved decoration dated 1946. Carved image of man and woman at a campfire on one side, scrollwork and flowers with a banner on the reverse with the name "SAMY" and "Bs. As. 18-9-46." The "Bs. As." likely stands for Buenos Aires. Mixed metal collar has a leaf and flower design. Bombilla straw was found with the gourd.
SIZE gourd is 3" diameter in the middle and 3.25" high
CONDITION There is some verdigris on the inside of the metal rim.
